Exeter Rowing Club

Introduction

Exeter Rowing Club is situated on the Exeter Ship Canal basin on Exeter’s beautiful historic quayside. With access to both the River Exe and the whole 5.3-mile length of the Ship Canal we have some of the best inland rowing waters in the region.

The origins of the club can be traced back to the early 1800’s and with over 140 members we are one of the largest and most successful clubs in the region. Our members regularly compete at local, national and international levels.

We welcome new members of all abilities and ages (minimum age 12) and have an experienced coaching team. Club sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.

We share the clubhouse with other member clubs of the Exe Water Sports Association and our club night is Thursday when members can enjoy some well-earned food and drink after the evening session.

Exeter Rowing Club is affiliated to British Rowing and is also a member of the West of England Amatuer Rowing Association (WEARA), for more details click on the logos below.
