Georgie Fours CANCELLED

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO RIVER LEVELS BEING UNSUITABLE FOR THE EVENT, A NEW DATE WILL BE CONFIRMED SHORTLY.
This Sunday marks the 20th anniversary of the Georgie Fours.
This event takes place in memory of Georgina Louise Robinson, a well loved member of the Club who was sadly killed.  Georgie had such a fun loving spirit and enthusiasm which is why this particular event is run in honour of her.

Crews are picked out of a hat, each boat is to contain, one novice, one senior male, one female, one junior and a cox (essentially).  Depending on members attending this sometimes changes.
These brave crews then race head to head along the regatta straight in heats endeavouring to row in a straight line!

The final race consists of 3 boats with the winning crew taking home the Georgie Fours Trophy!

Although primarily a fun event, the competitive spirit of all rowers and coxswains makes its appearance and in this event, the winning crew could be anyone!

Members to be at the Club for 10am, racing to commence at 10:30am
Stay afterwards for the BBQ cooked by Paul £3 per head.
