We welcome juniors aged 11-18 to row for fun, or to compete at local events. We also provide the opportunity for junior rowers to compete at regional, national or international levels.

Entry to the Club for those in this age group is via a Junior Learn to Row course, however if your child has previous experience of Rowing please do get in contact. Our Learn to Row courses are week-long, and run during school holidays. Details and dates are available on our Learn to Row pages or you can get in contact.

"As a Junior Rower at Exeter RC, I got so many opportunities to compete and train is a friendly, fun and competitive environment. The coaches really supported me, and it was a brilliant springboard into becoming a Senior Oarswoman when I went to University."

Our Junior Squad coaches hold recognised British Rowing Qualifications, and are all very experienced in supporting and developing Junior Athletes to grow in confidence and skill, and to achieve their goals. Our Club takes safety, welfare, and safeguarding very seriously. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. The Club has a Welfare Officer who oversees the care of children and adults at the Club. Click to view British Rowing's Statement on Safeguarding .

If you’re interested in supporting our Junior Squad either by coaching, donating or lending a hand as a parent volunteer please do get in contact, we’d love to hear from you.
