Racking Terms & Conditions

By using boat racks provided by Exeter Rowing Club, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. All racking fees are de on 1st April, the beginning of the Club’s membership year and are payable on demand.
  2. There is a waiting list for racks. If you have a rack and it is not paid for by 1st may it will be subject to reallocation without further notification.
  3. The committee reserves the right to sell your boat if it remains on club premises with unpaid racking fees for 90 days
  4. Racking paid for in advance, beyond the end of the current month, but not subsequently used, will be refunded. Please give one month’s notice of any intention to quit.
  5. The rack is the property of the club and cannot be passed on via personal arrangement
  6. The club reserves the right, after giving prior notice, to move a boat to another storage rack if it is not being used regularly. The club does not take any responsibility for any damage caused during this process.
  7. Boats are stored at owners’ risk, and the club cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to it, howsoever caused.
  8. The club reserves the right to terminate a members racking with thirty days notice, after which point the committee reserves the right to dispose of your boat if it remains on club premises for 90 days.
  9. Owners of private boats should have their own blades, clearly labelled with their name.
  10. In addition, all club members are responsible for:
    1. arranging boat insurance
    2. naming the boat in accordance with the EA’s rules
    3. Obtaining a boat licence from the EA if applicable.
