Code of Conduct for Parents and Carers

As a parent or carer you should:
1. Encourage your child to learn and obey the Club’s Junior rules.
2. Never force your child to take part in sport.
3. Encourage fair play and respect of officials, umpires and their decisions.
4. Publicly accept officials’ judgements.
5. Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.
6. Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
7. Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
8. Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
9. Help to supervise your child or other children when they are on the water.
10. Use correct and proper language at all times.
11. Not smoke on Club premises.
12. Never exert undue influence over coaches to obtain preferential treatment for your family members.
